At Weill Cornell Medicine, we provide comprehensive care for patients with cancer and blood disorders using a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach.
We care for the whole person and put the needs of our patients at the center of everything that we do. Our goal is to maximize patient outcomes and quality of life while minimizing thepotential side effects oftherapy. We think outside the box and listen to patients’ concerns and goals for treatment. World-renowned hematologists and medical oncologists work closely with specialized nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, social workers, laboratory scientists, and physicians from other disciplines — like surgery, pathology, diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, radiation oncology, psychiatry and pain management — to provide personalized care plans for each patient.
Our physicians — New York's leading hematologists and oncologists — use cutting-edge diagnostic methods and therapies, including precision medicine, to optimize results. Our diverse treatment options span immunotherapy, surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, stem cell transplant, combination therapies and more.
Additionally, our physicians and scientists are actively developing and investigating new therapies. Through our more than 100 open clinical trials, we can offer access to many treatments that are not available elsewhere, including some of the newest and most innovative therapies in the field today.

View All Posts"I was referred to Dr Port when I needed a second opinion for a recurrent spontaneous pneumothorax that did not resolve with a repeated VATS/pleurodesis procedure at a different hospital. He confidently treated me and after two follow up appointments, my lung is still looking good. His office team are particularly stellar, the NPs and Patient Coordinator are exemplary. I had a relatively pleasant 6 day stay in the hospital to recover from surgery and Dr Port was present for morning rounds, albeit very briefly, but NPs from his team also made evening rounds."
"We love Dr. Kucine she makes the scary world of hematology a better place. We wish every doctor was as caring, empathetic, good humored, and responsive as she is. Love love love her ❤️🥰I get scared to think of what we would do without her! Hopefully we never have to find that out!"
